How do I open an account in Manchester?
Many of the UK banks are currently withdrawing their safe deposit services and this has led to an unprecedented demand from new customers wanting to rent a safe deposit boxes in our Manchester vaults. To manage this exceptional demand we have introduced an Appointment System for all new customers to ensure that we minimise waiting times and to enable us to give each new customer our undivided attention during the account opening process.

New customers should be aware that when they visit our vaults to open a new account they should allow 40 minutes to complete the account registration process.
Please note: We would ask that new customers attend promptly for their appointment because we may need to offer the appointment to other prospective customers if they are more than 10 minutes late.
Customers arriving to open an account without an appointment will still be dealt with where possible but if it is exceptionally busy we may not have time to complete the new account process. To avoid disappointment we would urge all prospective customers to book an appointment prior to visiting us to open a new account.
The following documentation is required:
Proof of Identity
Passport or current signed UK photo card driving license.
Proof of Address
One of the following; utility bill, bank/credit card statement, mortgage statement, HMRC tax statement, NHS letter(not more than 3 months old) or local council tax bill for the current year.
A fully refundable key deposit of £80 is required on each contract.
We allow one secondary renter at no extra charge and suggest that you consider having an additional person named on your account (normally a spouse, sibling or child over the age of 18yrs).
